A School Team, Without the School.

A complete, school-style baseball program for homeschool, private, and charter school students across Maricopa County.

Built for athletes without a school team

Arizona Private League is being developed to give homeschool, private school, and charter school students access to a complete school-style athletic program — for students who may not have access to the traditional sports opportunities offered through a public school.

APL gives athletes a program to build around, not just a place to play.

What athletes get

A team they can represent as their primary school team
Organized practices and development
Competitive seasons and scheduled games
Opportunities to compete against other private, charter, homeschool, and public-school teams when available
Multiple sports as APL grows

Coached by a former professional player. Brandon Vegas — former professional baseball player, and owner of More Innings Training (MIT), Arizona Private League (APL), and Arizona Copper Kings Baseball.

Ages 3–18

Built on Community & Character

Homeschool families choose APL for more than the game itself — a positive peer environment, coaches who develop character as much as skill, and a program built on trust.

Coaching Philosophy

Development and character come before the scoreboard. Coaches mentor athletes through effort, accountability, and respect — on and off the field.

Positive Peer Community

A team environment built around encouragement, not comparison — where families get to know each other and athletes build lasting friendships.

Safety & Trust

Background-checked coaches, structured practices, and clear communication with parents at every step.

“I started More Innings Training to give athletes real, individualized development. Over the years I met so many talented kids who had no team to play for simply because of where they went to school. Arizona Private League is my answer to that — a real program, real coaching, and a real season for athletes who deserve one.”
